Firm Information
ObjectiveIn this exercise, you will view your Firm Information and enter your firm's telephone number. Program ConsiderationsWhen you install Lacerte (from the CD) for the first time, you are required to insert or download the Preparer Information File, which contains your firm information. This information is entered automatically in the Paid Preparer's section of the tax forms when you print them. For security reasons, you must contact Lacerte Customer Service to change the Lacerte Customer Number, Firm Name, Address, City, State, and ZIP Code. You can change your Federal ID Number, Telephone Number, Fax Number, and E-mail address. |

How?
To modify Firm Information:
- On the Settings menu, click Options.
- Click the Firm Info tab.
- Enter your firm's telephone number.
- Click OK to save your changes. Click Cancel to complete this exercise and exit without saving any changes.
Tips & Shortcuts
You can open the Options by clicking the Options icon 
on the toolbar or by pressing [Ctrl]+[O].
Troubleshooting
Problem: I cannot access the Firm Info tab in Options.
Solution: You cannot access this option due to access rights issues. See your network or program administrator.
Problem: I found an error in the Firm Information that I cannot correct.
Solution: Contact a Lacerte Customer Service Representative at (800) 933-9999.
