Add a sample client, enter wages, view forms, and add an Audit Check. Change the wage amount and view the effect on the Audit Check. Use a Single taxpayer with wages of $125,000. Insert the Audit Check on line 7 of Form 1040, change the wage amount to $130,000, then view the effect on the Audit Check .
An Audit Check is a graphical check mark you can insert on a line of a form that you have reviewed. When you insert an Audit Check on a line, the check mark is green
. If you change the input and that number changes, the Audit Check turns red
. Audit checks do not print.
To insert an Audit Check:
. The mouse pointer appears as a black check anywhere that the program allows you to insert an Audit Check.
.To change a red check back to green:
Click it once.
To delete an Audit Check:
Click it once if it is green, twice if it is red
There are three Audit Check features available from the View menu at the Forms tab:
You should have been able to insert an Audit Check and observe how it changed after the detail was modified.
Problem: I can't insert an Audit Check on form.
Solution: Make sure your cursor appears as a black check before you click to insert an Audit Check.
